Dr. Joyce Simmons is an Advanced Practice Nurse and Board Certified Adult High Risk Clinical Nurse Specialist with a national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received her BSN and MSN at Harding University and her Doctorate at Walden University with a focus on Informatics and Health Portal Education Design. She has designed and implemented an ANCC accredited NCPD Program that was integrated into Canvas. She has been the principal investigator for several research projects which have been published and has written many educational articles over her nursing career. Her practice reflects her clinical expertise of more than 36 years of service. She’s served as an OB/Gyn and Adult Health Practitioner, Hospitalist, and managed Specialty Clinics HIV/AIDS. She has been a Federal Grant Reviewer, Grant Writer, Continuing Education Module Designer and Writer, Kaplan Educator, NLN Underwriter, NALS, BLS Instructor, BDLS educator, and was an IBCLC.
