Our website may use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the website, understand visitor activity, and measure advertising performance.

Depending on their configuration, these tools may collect information such as online identifiers, browser and device information, pages visited, and interactions with advertisements.

Based on our current assessment, Platinum Learning CE does not meet the applicable thresholds for coverage under the CCPA/CPRA. We will review this assessment as our business operations, data practices, and applicable legal requirements change.

We remain committed to handling personal information responsibly and providing transparency about our data collection, use, and disclosure practices.

If you have questions about your personal information or our privacy practices, please contact us at support@platinumlearningce.org.

6. How We Share Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients when necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Where applicable law treats certain advertising disclosures as a sale or sharing of personal information, we will provide the required notice and choices.

7. Course Access and Certificate Validity

Certificates issued through Platinum Learning CE have a two-year validity period, subject to the applicable certificate terms.

The validity period is based on the certificate’s issue date or other date specified in the applicable certificate terms. Please check your certificate for its relevant dates.

A certificate’s validity under our service terms does not replace or override the requirements of the relevant licensing board. You remain responsible for confirming that your continuing education and certificate meet the board’s requirements.

Course or package access is subject to the period stated at checkout or in the applicable product description. A new purchase may be required to access another course package or complete continuing education for a future renewal cycle.

Your account or historical course records may remain in our system after course access or certificate validity expires. Keeping a certificate record does not extend the certificate’s validity.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, manage accounts, maintain course and certificate records, process transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

Different types of information may have different retention periods:

  • Course and certificate records: As needed for course administration, verification, reporting, support, and applicable recordkeeping requirements.

  • Payment records: As needed for accounting, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

  • Support communications: As needed to resolve issues and maintain appropriate business records.

  • Analytics and advertising data: According to the relevant tools’ settings, retention controls, and applicable law.

The two-year certificate validity period is separate from the period for which we retain records. We may delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to applicable legal requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults pursuing professional continuing education and are not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or applicable legal requirements.
